Genoa, the city of a thousand faces

Genoa is full of activities and beautiful places, even more than anyone could imagine! Everyone knows the Acquarium of Genoa that – with more than one million visitors every year – has become the most famous city attraction.

However, the number of activities the city offers is much higher.

If you are an art lover, you can’t miss the museums located in the wonderful Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo del Principe, as well as Museo del Mare and the National Gallery of Palazzo Spinola.

For someone who simply prefers to enjoy the view, Spianata Castelletto offers a stunning landscape. If you want, you can also have a relaxing walk through Strade Nuove, the central ways (UNESCO heritage since 2006) where you’ll find Palazzi del Rolli, noble houses in Renaissance style.

In addition, Genoa is full of interesting experiences for adults and children:

Città dei Ragazzi is a 2000mq building where kids’ (from 2 to 13 years) curiosity is stimulated by different types of laboratories and activities.

The older ones, instead, can be involved in Dialogo nel Buio, exciting multi-sensory experience in which you can’t use the sense of sight.

Finally, the place you absolutely have to visit is Boccadasse: this colourful village, populated by fishermen, is situated in the East of Genoa and it’s largely considered one of the most distinctive areas in the city. It hasn’t changed during the centuries, and represents the best place where you can get in touch with the sea without leaving local traditions.

A good reason to come back to Genoa? Because a look is not enough to discover it’s deep beauty, since it slowly reveals itself every single day.
